The following questions come from various people from raw food message boards
and chatrooms around
the world!
1.) How did you get into the raw foods and who trained you to be the chef
that you are now?
Went
veggie, then vegan and just naturally moved more into raw as time went on
and then the vegan glue diet was so bad there was no where else to go.
No one trained me, I trained them all. When I got here there was only wheatgrass and hummus.
2.) What raw principles do you personally embrace?
No
disacorides*, no grains, no starches, all organic.
*disaccords
: Lack of harmony; disagreement.
3.) What is your typical day like and what would you eat?
Eat at the restaurant. All my meals.
4.) Have you experienced any deficiencies on the raw food diet? What does
the optimum raw diet consist of
and do you take any supplements?
No supplements. Deficiencies come from things we’ve taken in causing deficiencies We have everything, we’re fine.
5.) Do you ever get sick?
Never get sick, there’s no such thing. You’re
cleansing.
6.)
Not everyone can be a great chef or spend the time as preparing. What suggestions
would you give
for the simple person?
Get faster. Wraps are fast.
7.)
What recipe are you MOST proud of (can you share it with us? )
Seed cheese. Pick anyone out of the book.
8.) How have your raw recipes evolved through the years?
I’ve
always been a guinis.
9.) Why do you no longer use bananas, dates, carrots or cashews in your recipes.
They're disacorides.
10.) Do you use vodka in some of your recipes? If so, what brand and why?
I
like vodka sky to be exact.
11.) What trends do you see in raw restaurants...are they expanding outside
of Calif? Or struggling?
Raw
will soon be wide spread.
12.) What are some of the greatest frustrations with the current raw movement?
None,
everything’s amazing!
13.) Do you realize what a positive influence you and your "uncook book"
have been to people going
raw?
Yes, wait though, more info is coming! World changing info!
14.) What are your two most important bits of
advice about how to go raw and stay raw successfully?
Understand cooked foods are poison metal and make delicious raw foods.
15.) What are some of your current projects and are you planning on writing
another uncook book?
M y food network show and a new book in spring.
16.) Do you use marijuana or other recreational drugs?
No drugs but I have done them in the past, shrooms are fine a couple times
a year.
17.) Have you been involved in any criminal court proceedings in the last
4 years.
No criminal things in the last four years.
