Brian Clement Lecture at Leafy Green Cafe

I took a visit to the grand opening of Leafy Greens Cafe located in the heart of St. Petersburg Florida. We were greeted by Denise who handed me a plate of hors d’oeuvres of nut patties with mustard and ketchup and some slivered tomatoes that was very delicious, a stuffed tomato that tasted like deviled eggs and a warm and soft chocolate ball. Brian clement from the Hippocrates Health Institute was there to help with the grand opening. He drew a large crowd and first started to talk about responsibility. Individuals must take their health in their own hands. Depression comes from self loathing. You have the right to be healthy. Love yourself.

He told everyone a story about a lady named Phyllis who came to the Hippocrates Center with osteoporosis. She's a young 94 your old and arrived at Hippocrates looking for her next job. She has been a child prodigy and played the piano extremely well. Brian told her osteoporosis is not a diet issue. She needed to lift weights. She was in disbelief when she heard him say that but later came back to him and said "because I'm paying you a lot of money, I will trust you". After training for everyday (6 weeks) her bone density test improved by 20% which is the recovery phase.

Here are some quick notes I jotted from Brian's inspiring lecture.

1. Release your fears. Fear is the #1 Killer.

2. Reality is nothing more than how you perceive it.

3. You are the creator of reality.

4. We are here to give. Reap what you sow.

5. Make your own decisions and trust yourself.

6. Be responsible. It's all up to you.

7. If you want to be worried watch the news. CNN is better than FOX news. FOX makes up stories.

He also told a story about Senior president George Bush that probably a lot of people have not heard before. Brian Clement was invited to hear Anthony Robbins (currently eats primarily raw foods). Senior George Bush was also there, he told a story of being in the Navy and how he had to bomb cannibals that would eat Americans. During the war, these cannibals thought if they ate Americans they would conquer all. After bombing and killing most of them he flew out of there and they shot at his plane. He landed in water and was in fear. He was so afraid if he went back to shore they would eat him alive. He didn't want to die like this and out of nowhere a US submarine emerged, he swam towards it and jumped in. Once his feet hit the bottom of the submarine he knew he wanted to be president of the US.

Question and Answer Time with Brian Clement

Are humans omnivores?

Brian explains that we are herbivores, we devolved over time. We mainly ate fruits but the fruit had very little fruit on it and was never as sweet as it is now. The fruit now is about 5-8 times higher in sugar content than ever before. 85% of the fruit we have now never existed 80-100 yrs ago. Also the oxygen was 7 to 8 times higher back in those days. We ate herbs and plants for healing but very little because dis-ease was hardly an issue. We followed the sun to get our food. Certain nutrients were only needed 6-8 months of the year. Also everyone fed themselves. As the economics grew with the industrial revolution ,the health of individuals declined. In 1890 less than 10% of dairy was consumed. The dairy and meat industry pay a lot of money to brainwash americans into believing we need to consume it. We are the sickest nation in the world with over 600 children a day starving to death. 1-98 children born today will develop autism. 1-3 cases will have diabetes.

How important is Vitamin B-12 on the raw vegan diet?

Brian notes this is not a vitamin but a soil based organism. At one time we had a little pocket in our gastronomical tract which would naturally create b-12 and deliver it to our blood stream where we would not need it for another 6 weeks. However a lot of people do not have this pocket anymore due to our diets and devolution and he recommends everyone consume a bacterial vitamin b supplement every single day. Brian emphasis the importance of it being a soil based supplement. 65% of people lack vitamin b-12 and most of them are people that eat a high amount of meat and dairy. These foods have a high fat content and send the fat into the blood stream, thus blocking the absorption of the b-12.

What are some of your favorite super foods?

1. Sprouts! All kinds of sprouts, favorites are chia sprouts, hemp sprouts (can't get in the US), pea sprouts, and sunflower sprouts. No need to go to WholePaycheck (AKA Wholefoods), sprouting seeds are cheap and anyone can learn how to grow them.

2. Edible weeds like purslane, dandelion, chickweed, lamb's quarter, nettle, etc.

3. Oxygen. Learn how to breathe properly.

4. Water. Make sure you are drinking pure water. Brian likes structured distilled water. He's been drinking distilled water for years and has had no problems with it.

5. E3Live - "I'm in love with E3Live!" Brian says. This is the easiest digest and the most nutritious. Next is Chlorella. Both of these are also very high in protein. Brain takes E3Live everyday.

What do you do if you have prostate cancer?

1. 70% of prostate cancers are not truly cancers. They are most likely pre-cancerous. The prostate is the most hormone rich organ in a man's body. You do not want to operate on it or remove it. On a raw vegan diet high in sprouts you can easily repair the prostate. The prostate gets enlarged because it's being pushed down by prolapsed organs. Start eating right!

Is eating fruit ok?

2. Brian does not recommend eating fruits if you have cancer. Cancers, viruses, molds, yeasts and fungus thrive in a sugar (any kind of sugar) environment. John Hopkins says no fruit or sugar because it feeds the cancer. Once you are healthy (rare to fine anyone these days) you can eat low sugar, high mineral fruits like berries, ripe seasonal fruit in moderation. After 3-4 years of being free of cancer is an ideal time to introduce fruit in the diet.

Brian concluded the lecture with the phrase, "It's not the food in your life but the life in your food." After the lecture I had Brian Clement gladly sign a copy of the new issue of the Hippocrates Health Institute Magazine which I will send to one random person who makes a comment to this blog post. Brian is one of my favorite speakers about raw foods because he tells the truth with humor and provides scientific examples with every fact he states. Tell your local health foods store or raw food cafe to schedule him for a lecture.
