Coco Citrus Smoothie

A delicious spring breakfast by Lily Kunin of Clean Food Dirty City filled tropical flavors and fresh notes of citrus. The scent of fresh citrus alone refreshes, uplifts and wakes you up perfect for the AM.


At a glance
2 cups coconut milk
3 tablespoons chia seeds
cup coconut yogurt
1 cup frozen mango
1 navel orange, peeled
cup pineapple
teaspoon turmeric
Pinch of black pepper
Top with coconut flakes, hemp hearts, or bee pollen.


1. In a bowl, mix together 1 cup of the coconut milk, chia seeds, and coconut yogurt. Let sit for at least 30 minutes or in the fridge overnight.

2. When the coconut chia pudding is ready, divide between two jars. 

3. Blend the remaining cup of coconut milk with the mango, orange, pineapple, turmeric, and pepper. 
4. Pour over the chia pudding, top with coconut flakes, hemp hearts and bee pollen.
