At a glance

1 cup almonds

1 cup walnuts or pecans

1 cup pitted, packed dates

1/3 cup cacao powder

1/8 teaspoon Himalayan salt

1 teaspoon water

Orange Cream:

1 1/2 cups cashew pieces

1/2 cup + 1 tablespoon orange juice

3 tablespoons maple syrup or coconut nectar

2-3 teaspoons orange zest

1/3 cup melted coconut oil

1 1/2 tablespoons melted coconut butter

Chocolate Drizzle:

2 tablespoons coconut nectar

2 tablespoons cacao powder

2 tablespoons melted coconut oil

1-2 teaspoons hot water

1. Grind the almonds to flour in a food processor.

2. Add the walnuts, dates, cacao, and salt. Process until the dates are completely ground. Add the water and process briefly. The dough should hold together when pressed in your hand.

3. Press into the bottom of an 8x8" pan. Set aside.

Orange Cream

1. Blend the cashews, orange juice, and maple in a high speed blender until smooth.

2. Add the zest, oil, and butter. Blend again to incorporate.

3. Pour over the brownie base.

4. Set into the freezer for 4-6 hours and then transfer to the fridge for several hours before slicing.

Chocolate Drizzle

1. Whisk all ingredients together until smooth, using enough water to make everything emulsify.
