The Ingenious Water Egg

The egg shape represents natural harmony, life, birth, creation and potential. The egg shape preserves the energetic integrity of whatever objects or fluids are contained within it. Archaeological discoveries from Greece and Egypt have unearthed egg shaped containers used to store grain and seed. The 2,000-year-old grains from the Egyptian excavations have shown to still be viable! Greek amphorae are notoriously clumsy and difficult to transport, yet the ancients used this vessel shape (with a containment space structured like an elongated egg) to store olive oil, wine and other goods because the quality of contents could be maintained. This natural shape allows a consistent flow of energy to occur in fluids unhampered by the sharp angles of corners.

How To Use The Clay Egg:

Once your receive your clay egg, wash both the egg and base with warm water and natural soap. Once clean, you are ready to put your favorite fluids or items into the clay egg for charging and consuming.

Water or other liquids can be stored in your clay egg. Conventional methods of water storage including rectangular plastics, cube shapes, giant cylindrical towers and standard cylinder bottles all contain sharp right angles which hinder the free flow of waterâ€™s energy. According to Austrian Water Wizard Viktor Schauberger, this stagnation is conducive to the formation of pathogenic bacteria and to waterâ€™s degeneration and loss of information. Schauberger observed this and discovered the best storage vessels were egg shaped.

Besides its shape, the material used in the construction of the egg is equally important. It has been determined that clay terracotta is the best material for water storage. Clay allows water to breathe and evaporate. This slight evaporation cools the water which then sinks down the walls of the egg and as it sinks, it forces water to rise up through the center and move out towards the walls. This process produces constant circulation and cooling, thus vitalizing the water.

The eggs can also be used to vibrationally enhance a specific area of a room, this works well when combined with the knowledge of feng shui.

Massage therapists and body workers can also use the egg to help remove muscular or emotional toxins underlying a clientâ€™s issues. Fill the egg with a few ounces of sea salt and work the rounded shape of the bottom of the egg into the â€˜problemâ€™ area. Once relief is achieved, simply dispose of the salt.

The egg can also be charged under the sun, moon and according to specific planetary cycles. Its uses are only limited by the boundaries of your imagination.

Austrian Water Wizard Viktor Schauberger made many important discoveries concerning water and the magical nature of this essential element. (Schaubergerâ€™s work has been translated into English by Callum Coats in the book Living Energies). One of his most prevalent concerns besides the rapid decline in water quality, was the proper application of storing high-quality water to maintain its energy and essence. Schauberger drew inspiration from nature and the shapes she produces; one such auspicious shape is the Egg.

By placing our clay vessels in shaded areas, exposed to air movement, the evaporative cooling effect will be significantly enhanced. Since all natural movement of liquids and gases is triggered by differences in temperature, so too inside the egg-shaped storage vessel, cyclical, spiral, vitalizing movement of the water will be induced.

One of the most important discoveries Schauberger made is that water is most vital when it is cold; the optimal temperature is 4 degrees Celsius (39.2 degrees Fahrenheit). By observing huge boulders being able to float in 4 degree water, he discovered waterâ€™s amazing ability of levity while at this temperature.

At present, we must act as caretakers for our water: improving its quality and improving its structure whenever possible.

Clay terracotta exhibits porosity particularly well suited for water storage. This is because it enables a very small percentage of the contained water to evaporate via the vessel walls. Evaporation is always associated with cooling (vaporization with heat) and, according to Walter Schauberger (Viktorâ€™s physicist son), if the porosity is correct, then for every 600th part of the contents evaporated, the contents will be cooled by 1oC (1.8oF), thus approaching a temperature of +40C (+39.2oF). Taking Schaubergerâ€™s exhortation, â€œComprehend and copy nature!â€ as our guide, we should embrace and make use of the shapes that Nature herself selects to contain, guard and maintain life. Compared with cubes and cylinders, eggs have no stagnant zones, no right-angled corners that inhibit flowing movement. Nature has already given us the perfect shape.
