This product is the raw organic purple cacao beans and they are not fermented so they are closest to the natural fruit. They taste more like a nut or seed than the low fermented "chocolate" cacao bean. You can eat the whole bean. This is for people who want to eat cacao closest to the fruit, it is serious raw food (dem purple bean).

Cacao contains a wide array of unique properties and minerals, including high levels of sulfur and magnesium. It may increase your focus and alertness and contains nutrients to keep you happy. Unfermented cacao seeds are more psycho-active then the low fermented chocolate beans and they taste bitter.

You can eat the whole seed or peel them.
Cacao may seem to diminish your appetite, perhaps due to its MAO inhibitors (monoamine oxidase enzyme inhibitors). Cacao's rare MAO inhibitors may allow serotonin and additional neurotransmitters to circulate in the brain. It also may facilitate youthening and rejuvenation, according to some.
